An engaging personality, Dr. David Greene is the Founder and CEO of R3 Stem Cell. Driven by Passion and Purpose, Dr. Greene has pursued his MD, Ph.D., and MBA degrees and has given wings to his goals and desires. Over the years, Dr. Greene’s main passion has included helping others through compassion, education, and innovation. He has been a leader in growing regenerative cell therapies globally with R3 Stem Cell. “I’ve never been a fan of just settling for the status quo. Innovation is a cornerstone of what makes America great,” he says. Dr. Greene has frequently been featured by news publications and interviewed for his expertise in regenerative therapies. About R3 Stem Cell R3 Stem Cell is a regenerative cell therapy company that has treated over 21,000 individuals in the past decade, with 45 Centers in 7 countries. It has helped thousands of patients improve their quality of life through non-operative therapies by avoiding surgery and getting back to their passions in life. The regenerative biologics used in the procedures are all ethically obtained and processed at FDA-registered facilities. Dr. Greene’s company was the first in the country to obtain IRB (Institutional Review Board) approval for the investigation of regenerative therapies with amniotic and umbilical cord tissue for several condition categories. The patients include everyone from athletes to celebrities, grandparents, CEOs, manual laborers, students, teachers, veterans, and first responders. R3 currently has several Brand Ambassadors who have benefited from stem cell therapy including actors Colin Egglesfield, Cameron Matheson, Andrew Walker, Crystal Lowe and Trevor Donovan. Being an enthusiastic leader, in 2018, Dr. Greene started the R3 Stem Cell Heroes Program. This is a unique program that selects military veterans, teachers, and first responders to receive free regenerative cell therapies. Anyone can be nominated, even themselves if they fit into one of these categories. “I felt it was important to acknowledge and give back to those who have played a critical role in the freedom of our country along with shaping the minds of our future generations. We tend to take our freedom for granted when in actuality no other country enjoys what we do as a result of their sacrifice.” One of the first patients to receive stem cell therapy under the Heroes Program was David O’Connell, a Desert Storm Veteran suffering from several debilitating medical conditions. Three months after his procedure, Mr. O’Connell said, “Greatest benefit is a dramatic decrease in pain, 20+ years of constant chronic pain is I’d say 98% gone! Knocked it out of the park. No pain in my knees, no aches in my shoulder or back, and fibromyalgia-like symptoms are completely absent.” He also added, “All we want to see is the story in the nomination and what makes that person a Hero. You don’t have to be the person that killed Osama Bin Laden, you could be the woman who taught first grade for thirty years. They are ALL Heroes in our book!” Mission and Vision of R3 Stem Cell The company’s mission is to offer first-rate stem cell therapies that are clinically effective, exceptionally safe, and very affordable. The vision of R3 is to continue to be the worldwide leader in regenerative therapies, expand access to the procedures continuously and remain the most cost-effective provider in the world. Added Dr. Greene, “Currently we have a presence in seven countries. Over the next few years, I’d like to expand our presence to over 15 countries so more patients can have access to our revolutionary therapies!” The Concept behind R3 R3 follows as Repair, Regenerate, and Restore. Stem Cells can differentiate according to the needs and requirements of the injured area. They have self-renewal capacity, can prohibit cell death, and can replace dead cells or tissues naturally. Stem Cells offer long-term effects and provide “non-surgical” procedures. Stem Cells and exosome therapies are getting significant attention to treat many serious diseases like COPD, CP, Autoimmune diseases, neurological; disorders, organ failures, sexual wellness, and many more. They are bringing a ray of hope and giving patients options that surgeries can be avoided. The tissue injuries can be repaired with the ability to do things like hiking, swimming, riding a bike, and most importantly living a PAIN-FREE life. Stem Cells can reconstruct the damaged cells or tissues from the root. They help in stabilizing blood flow and improve better cell-to-cell interaction for natural recovery. To date, no options have existed that could truly modify these disease entities with such a safe approach. The Journey of R3 Stem Cell Dr. Greene is most inspired by Maya Angelo’s quote, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style”. He has craved a path for himself and founded R3 Stem Cell to serve a bigger purpose and help people live better and healthy lives. A sneak peeks into the early days, in 2012, Doctor Greene was at the Arizona State University’s WP Carey School of Business completing his MBA. ASU has consistently been ranked #1 in the country for entrepreneurial innovation, and David’s vision is right in line with that. He created R3 Stem Cell as part of a class assignment, complete with a business plan, proforma, legal analysis, and opinions from several key professors at the University. According to David, “The resources at ASU are immense, and they cater to those trying to engage in new technology efforts. Especially when it has the potential to change so many lives.” In 2013, the fictional company became real after David received the legal analysis and realized he could do it. Since then, the company structure has changed several times, but now includes many worldwide Centers of Excellence that have performed over 21,000 regenerative procedures. R3 Stem Cell has produced a Consumer Guide for patients along with several hundred educational videos and participated in an acclaimed stem cell documentary, where David was extensively interviewed about regenerative therapies in addition to researchers from Stanford, UC Irvine, and other prominent institutions.
