Rachel Choong

Rachel Choong Pioneering Cyber Leader: Rachel Choong’s Path to Democratizing Executive Wisdom Rachel Choong has spent over two decades in cybersecurity, becoming a key figure in rescuing high-stakes projects and implementing innovative defenses against digital threats. Her expertise lies in integrating cybersecurity with strategic business outcomes, ensuring organizations remain resilient amid evolving challenges. Her professional journey extends beyond technical mastery into transformative leadership. Through her recent book, featuring insights from 54 senior executives, including numerous C-suite leaders, Rachel has created a platform that brings elite knowledge to wider audiences. This profile, based on her questionnaire responses, explores her achievements, mindset, and vision for leadership development. Foundations in Cybersecurity and Project Rescue Rachel began her career in the challenging field of cybersecurity, developing expertise in identifying and mitigating risks for multimillion-dollar projects. She has consistently led efforts to strengthen cyber frameworks and coordinate cross-functional teams to align security with business goals. Years of rescuing struggling projects have given her rare insight into how executives make decisions under pressure, a perspective that shapes both her daily work and broader leadership initiatives. Identifying the Gap in Leadership Wisdom The idea for Rachel’s book came from recognizing a persistent gap in leadership resources. Executive wisdom often remains confined to exclusive networks, leaving many professionals without access to practical guidance. She envisioned a solution that would scale these insights to empower thousands. Rather than using impersonal tactics like mass emails, she relied on relationships nurtured over 20 years in cybersecurity. These connections linked her with professionals committed to societal progress and aligned with her mission. Leveraging Authentic Connections for Collaboration Navigating a male-dominated field taught Rachel the value of authentic relationships over titles or credentials. When inviting contributions for her book, she positioned the project as an opportunity for executives to share knowledge widely, rather than as a personal venture. This approach emphasized humility, acknowledgment of others’ contributions, and focus on societal benefits over personal recognition. Her communication was deliberate and precise, avoiding potential pitfalls. Credibility for the project grew when international bestselling author Graeme Simsion endorsed the launch, validating her work and enabling further high-level engagement. Rachel’s method highlights core principles for ambitious endeavors: humility opens doors, authentic relationships provide lasting support, and centering requests on communal benefit drives collaboration. By applying these principles, she gathered insights from 54 senior leaders, half in C-suite roles—a feat many others could not achieve. Unlearning Barriers to Leadership Engagement Achieving this success required challenging assumptions about leadership access. Rachel initially believed her mid-level position limited her ability to interview C-suite executives. Yet her experience told a different story. Two decades of rescuing critical projects had placed her alongside senior leaders during crises, giving her insights few others possessed. Openness was key. By seeking advice from established authors and expressing eagerness to learn, she dismantled internal obstacles. She realized that humility does not mean diminishing oneself; it involves recognizing one’s unique contributions while remaining receptive to growth. Her proximity to executive decision-making became a valuable asset. Sharing these insights aligned with her principles of service and strengthened her leadership perspective. The interviews themselves reinforced this understanding. Engaging with high performers sparks innovation and personal development. Simsion’s endorsement further emphasized that creating value does not require being the foremost expert—acting as a bridge to connect knowledge with those who need it can have the greatest impact. Challenging Notions of Success Through Executive Insights Conversations in her book revealed consistent patterns about success. Financial rewards, prestigious titles, or perks were rarely cited as primary motivators. Instead, leaders emphasized human-centered qualities: empathy, tenacity, creativity, service, and growth. These traits emerged across sectors, from healthcare to technology to entrepreneurship. Executives shared personal stories of family challenges, career setbacks, and pivotal realizations, offering authentic insight into their motivations and strategies for navigating change. Unlike scripted corporate messages, these narratives highlighted shared progress as the source of true satisfaction. While financial security remains important, time is the most valuable resource, and effective leaders prioritize it toward impactful endeavors. Rachel’s book serves as a guide for personal reflection, helping readers learn from executive perspectives, identify their own gaps, and forge individual paths. Her philosophy emphasizes that achievement is measured not by personal gain but by enabling opportunities for others—a principle she applies across her professional and personal pursuits. Reigniting Creativity Amid Analytical Excellence Rachel’s skill in risk assessment, honed through project recoveries, sometimes constrained her creative thinking. Preparing to interview 54 executives initially triggered her analytical mindset, focusing on logistical hurdles and execution doubts. Overcoming this required a mindset shift: viewing challenges as opportunities rather than threats. Persistence and passion drove her forward. By refining interpersonal skills and integrating courage, patience, and focus, she navigated obstacles and established a foundation for success. Her direct exposure to executive reasoning in high-pressure scenarios, combined with a commitment to accessibility, distinguished her work. Leveraging technology, including artificial intelligence, enhanced productivity without compromising integrity, expanding the initiative’s reach. Envisioning Transformative Leadership Development Rachel anticipates significant shifts in leadership development over the next five years. The book’s exploration of sustaining optimism amid adversity resonates in today’s challenging environment. Readers report practical applications: reframing setbacks using executive strategies, fostering compassionate team management, and taking proactive action without waiting for approval. Her focus extends beyond personal growth to organizational transformation. The project created new opportunities, including consulting roles and media appearances, demonstrating the impact of broadening knowledge access. By sharing insights through writings, discussions, and engagements, she influences professional development incrementally, helping emerging leaders avoid isolation during trials. Awareness of empathy, tenacity, creativity, service, and growth becomes part of a shared leadership language, ensuring opportunities are accessible regardless of location or connections. The Role of Reflection in Breakthrough Thinking Rachel’s creative insights often emerge in reflective, in-between moments. She maintains a bedside notepad to capture thoughts arising between wakefulness and sleep. The book’s concept originated during a casual conversation, connecting unexpected ideas into a meaningful contribution to Australian leadership resources. Intense program oversight allows little margin for reflection, yet she balances

Advait Patel

Advait Patel

Advait Patel Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Broadcom An Exclusive Conversation with Jasmine Francis, Editor-in-Chief of CIOTODAY, Unveiling the Remarkable Journey of Advait Patel Advait Patel: Building Trustworthy Scale in the Cloud Advait Patel is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Broadcom who unites reliability engineering, security, and automation to deliver enterprise-scale systems that maintain performance, reliability, and compliance under demanding enterprise workloads. His career narrative is defined by rigorous engineering at scale, security baked into every layer, and a consistent drive to turn complex, distributed cloud platforms into dependable services for global businesses. Early Foundations Patel’s journey began with a deep fascination for systems that could endure stress, scale indefinitely, and remain secure when it matters most, a focus he solidified through a Master’s in Computer Science at DePaul University, specializing in Software Engineering and Cloud Computing. From the outset, he gravitated to the intersection of distributed systems and security, an orientation that naturally led to Site Reliability Engineering and DevSecOps, where performance, resilience, and trust converge in production realities. That early commitment now underpins his leadership at Broadcom and his broader contributions to research, publications, and technical advocacy in the global community. Engineering at a Global Scale At Broadcom, Patel helps architect and operate a globally distributed SaaS metrics monitoring and analytics platform that ingests millions of data points per second while targeting zero downtime for demanding enterprise customers. He has built and tuned Kubernetes clusters for reliability, automated deployments with Terraform and Ansible, and implemented disaster recovery strategies that keep complex, multi-region environments available through failure scenarios. These efforts reinforce Broadcom’s position in observability platforms and set internal benchmarks for secure and scalable cloud operations across regulated and mission-critical contexts. Security in the Reliability Lifecycle Security by default is a consistent thread in Patel’s work, not a post-deployment layer but a design-time standard embedded into architectures, pipelines, and operational playbooks. He has led vulnerability management initiatives and integrated compliance frameworks that ensure systems meet performance commitments while aligning to rigorous security baselines such as ISO, SOC, and FedRAMP-aligned controls. Disaster recovery patterns he refined have been adopted as reference implementations, which raises organizational consistency and reduces recovery uncertainty for high-value workloads. Principles That Scale Three core principles guide Patel’s approach to building secure and compliant cloud systems at scale: Security by design: embed controls and checks at the first design pass, so architecture and code evolve within explicit risk boundaries rather than retrofitted gates. Automation and scalability: use Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and AI-assisted monitoring to minimize human error, enforce intent, and expand capacity without sacrificing control. Compliance as code: translate standards into policies and automated validations that run inside the pipeline, so releases inherit compliance proofs and auditors inherit measurable evidence. These pillars align with the industry’s movement toward Zero Trust and policy-aware automation, translating governance into continuous, provable enforcement across multi-cloud estates. A Zero-Downtime Migration Blueprint One of Patel’s hallmark accomplishments is leading the migration of Broadcom’s global observability product from AWS to Google Cloud Platform, a re-architecture that reached across networking, Kubernetes, IAM, storage, monitoring pipelines, and disaster recovery while keeping customer visibility uninterrupted. Rather than lift and shift, the team mapped AWS-native services to GCP alternatives and redesigned components where necessary to improve performance and reduce operational risk. Security remained central, with automated IAM audits eliminating over-privileged roles, and compliance as code pipelines re-implementing HIPAA, GDPR, and internal baselines from day one on GCP. To safeguard continuity, Patel built staged cutover workflows, applied AI-driven anomaly detection during the transition, and established robust rollback paths to reduce the blast radius of unknowns. The result was a seamless migration with zero disruption, stronger performance, and a tighter security posture. Migration Lessons Enterprises Can Use Enterprises contemplating cloud-to-cloud migrations can draw practical lessons from Patel’s GCP transition playbook: Re-architecture over replication: redesign components where needed to meet performance and security objectives in the target cloud. IAM rigor: automate audits to minimize privilege and prevent drift during and after migration. Compliance from first commit: use policy as code to rebuild baselines in the new environment. Staged cutovers with AI-powered guardrails: instrument anomaly detection and maintain rollback paths to contain risk. Thought Leadership and Recognition Patel’s influence extends beyond production systems into research, publishing, and community leadership. He earned a Best Paper honor at ICAIC 2025 for AI-driven frameworks that secure cloud AI workloads and authored Implementing Identity Management on GCP, published by Springer Nature. In editorial service to IEEE and ACM, he supports peer review rigor, while working as Conference Chair for the IEEE Chicago Section positions him to convene and steer conversations on next-generation security. DockSec and Developer-First Security Patel created DockSec, an open source, AI-powered Docker security analyzer that integrates scanning and remediation directly into developer workflows. DockSec identifies misconfigurations and vulnerabilities in containerized applications and provides contextual remediation, integrating into CI/CD pipelines without slowing delivery. The Next Wave: AI, Reliability, and Zero Trust Looking forward, Patel anticipates a tight coupling between AI, operations, and security, where predictive insights and self-healing become default attributes of platform reliability. His research on Trust Deviation Metrics aims to operationalize how enterprises detect and measure risk in AI-driven orchestration, a timely focus as teams delegate more decisions to automated agents across production pipelines. Culture of Resilience Patel’s approach models an SRE culture where reliability, security, and compliance are incorporated early, reducing the need for retroactive fixes and accelerating delivery. This alignment strengthens handoffs across teams, improves audit posture, and reduces exception handling at release time. Community and Ecosystem Impact Patel’s engagement with IEEE, ACM, the Cloud Security Alliance, and industry conferences helps translate frontier research into actionable enterprise practice. His open source advocacy and editorial contributions reinforce a healthier security ecosystem, where patterns like developer-centric remediation and standard-driven automation proliferate across organizations. Advice for Emerging Leaders Patel encourages aspiring SRE and security leaders to embrace complexity and remain focused on impact, measured by improved reliability for users, open source contributions, and stronger collective resilience. He advises continuous learning, publishing

Paul Taylor

Paul Taylor

Paul Taylor Owner of Paul Taylor Associates Paul Taylor: Building a Portfolio Career Rooted in Learning, Service, and Humanity Paul Taylor, Owner of Paul Taylor Associates, has crafted a distinctive portfolio career that blends consultancy, governance, education, writing, speaking, and mentoring into a cohesive professional identity defined by integrity and impact. From early roots in UK banking technology to leadership roles across financial services and education, his trajectory reflects a steady commitment to continuous learning, exceptional client service, and a people-first approach. These pillars not only guide his work but also underpin the reputation he has carefully built over decades in roles that span transformation programs, operating model redesigns, and strategic advisory. Early Foundations in Technology and Finance Paul began his career in 1988 within the IT department of a well-known UK private bank, a setting that exposed him to a broad range of functions and gave him early cross-disciplinary fluency. Working inside a smaller organization enabled him to build a practical understanding across systems, operations, and user needs, which became a durable advantage as he advanced. He later moved through various financial services firms and rose to become Head of Software Development at a European subsidiary of a large bank, deepening his experience in enterprise delivery and governance. The Decision to Freelance In the summer of 2007, Paul chose freelancing after years of weighing the risks and rewards of independence, a shift that reframed his career around adaptability and value creation. He initially focused on project management in financial services with mandates ranging from outsourcing to regulatory change, product launches, and technology initiatives, developing a reputation for dependable execution in complex environments. Over time, he transitioned to a portfolio model, integrating multiple roles that let him contribute across strategy, delivery, teaching, and public thought leadership. The Portfolio Model in Practice Today, Paul’s work spans several complementary domains that reinforce each other through shared emphasis on outcomes and human-centered collaboration. His consultancy and project leadership commitments focus on transformations and operating model improvements, while his roles as Chair, non-executive director, and board adviser extend his governance impact. Education and teaching anchor his belief in lifelong learning, while speaking and writing amplify insights for broader audiences, and mentoring provides tailored support to emerging leaders. Why Learning Never Stops Paul emphasizes continuous development as a non-negotiable for modern professionals because technology, customer behavior, policy environments, and regulations change constantly. He frames learning as both a defensive and offensive practice: it protects relevance while enabling better decisions across diverse contexts, from fintech strategy to education and nonprofit governance. His guidance is practical: seek reputable sources, leverage structured programs, and ask questions without fear when knowledge gaps appear. Service as a Professional Core A central tenet of Paul’s philosophy is delivering best-in-class service regardless of client size, sector, or temperament, a standard he applies equally to regulators, corporates, and retail stakeholders. He acknowledges that high service bars can be demanding, especially with challenging engagements, but argues that resilience and constructive engagement are table stakes in professional services. This ethic has been pivotal to sustaining a practice rooted in repeat work, referrals, and long-term trust. Leading With Humanity Paul insists that nearly all meaningful work is people work, from supplier negotiations and boardrooms to classrooms and mentoring sessions. He prioritizes understanding how others feel and what motivates them, then aligns behavior to context to nurture productive relationships. In practice, this translates to compassionate leadership, careful listening, and tailored communication that reduces friction and accelerates progress. Guarding Reputation Like a Strategic Asset As a freelancer and portfolio leader, Paul treats reputation as the most valuable currency, built on reliability, honesty, hard work, competence, and integrity. He advocates raising issues early, keeping commitments, and staying current as mechanisms for protecting professional standing. He also highlights the relational side of reputation: being respectful and kind is not only ethical but also commercially wise in interdependent ecosystems. Paul outlines four recurring challenges: handling difficult people, addressing knowledge gaps in new domains, smoothing workload peaks and troughs, and securing work in a competitive market. He counters interpersonal friction with stronger human management skills, and he counters domain uncertainty with structured learning through courses, vetted sites, and expert conversations. He mitigates workload volatility through rigorous time management and stress awareness while sustaining deal flow through networking, thought leadership, and active participation in events. Impact Across Organizations and Sectors Paul’s portfolio includes enterprise transformations, large-scale technology migrations, and operating model overhauls across blue-chip companies, scale-ups, and social enterprises. This range gives him a vantage point on strategy and execution that is both sector-aware and people-centric, an approach that resonates with boards and operators alike. He credits these outcomes to disciplined project leadership coupled with a sensitivity to organizational culture and stakeholder dynamics. Education plays a major role in Paul’s portfolio, including teaching responsibilities that keep him close to emerging talent and evolving pedagogies. He has published five books, including three self-published titles and two textbooks produced with an industry body, which he views as vehicles for codifying and sharing practical knowledge. Mentoring remains a consistent thread, offering high-touch guidance on career planning and leadership development while informing his broader insights with lived challenges from across industries. Boardroom Perspective With Practitioner Depth Serving as a board member and strategic adviser to fintech, education, and wellbeing organizations, Paul brings a synthesis of governance rigor and delivery experience. Soura Madani Owner of Soura Madani House of Design Soura Madani: Crafting Identity-Driven Design With Heart, Vision, and Quiet Mastery A Creative Origin Rooted in Culture and Conviction The story of Soura Madani begins in a vibrant cultural landscape where art, architecture, and everyday aesthetics were inseparable from daily life, shaping a keen eye for detail and a deep sensitivity to how spaces make people feel. This early immersion in beauty and craft led her to pursue Architecture Engineering, a foundation that honed her technical rigor and ability to balance vision with feasibility. Her first professional chapter unfolded at a leading regional firm ranked first in the Middle East and fifth globally, an experience that broadened her horizon across residential interiors and commercial spaces while instilling discipline, teamwork, and the power of thoughtful project management. The decision to found Soura Madani House of Design was not merely entrepreneurial; it was personal and purposeful. She envisioned a studio that did more than decorate environments, one that created spaces with meaning that reflect people’s identities and serve communities with clarity and respect. That ethos remains the North Star of SMHD’s practice, guiding its approach to each commission from concept to completion. The Essence of a Founder: Resilience, Creativity, and Empathy in Practice Three personal qualities define Soura’s leadership and design philosophy: resilience, creativity, and empathy. Resilience has been indispensable in an industry that demands constant adaptation, where shifting client needs, schedule pressure, and complex stakeholder dynamics are the norm. Creativity is the engine of her work, informed by a lifetime of curiosity and mentorship that elevated her standards and sharpened her voice as a designer. Empathy is the lens through which she evaluates every decision, ensuring that the experience of the people who live, work, and gather in her spaces is always at the center of the design. Her commitment to innovation and craft was further influenced by exposure to iconic design houses and creative leaders associated with brands like Henredon, Barbara Barry, and Ralph Lauren, whose work set benchmarks in quality, materials, and timeless form, and whose collections have shaped luxury interiors for decades. These influences are not imitated in her work; they are metabolized into a personal language that is quietly luxurious, contextually sensitive, and deeply intentional. A Studio Where Identity Comes First She illustrated the point with an example from SMHD’s founding: merging strong architectural foundations with a narrative-driven interior language that honors culture, materiality, and human experience. Based in Amman and recognized regionally and internationally, SMHD quickly earned trust by delivering high-end projects that never sacrificed integrity for spectacle. The studio’s work spans hospitality, residential, retail, and workplace environments, with a reputation for projects that feel lived in from the day they open because they are designed with memory, ritual, and daily patterns in mind. SMHD’s portfolio includes collaborations with leading global brands and landmark properties, reflecting a consistent ability to adapt vision to context while maintaining a clear signature: clarity of form, rich but restrained palettes, craftsmanship-forward detailing, and a precise orchestration of light. Projects featured on the firm’s platforms and across design publications include The Ritz Carlton Hotel & Residences Amman, St. Regis The Residences Amman, St. Regis Sales Gallery, Saraya Conference Center, Chopard and Tufenkjian jewelry boutiques, Alraya Palace, and culinary spaces like LeNotre and Dunia Rooftop Restaurant, among others. The breadth affirms a design practice as comfortable with hospitality icons as it is with the intimacy of a private residence. Crafting a Design Language At the heart of SMHD’s approach is a sophisticated fusion of Middle Eastern aesthetics with global design standards, a balance that avoids pastiche and pursues authenticity through material, proportion, and light. Rather than rely on overt motifs, the studio often builds identity through layered textures, artisanal techniques, and quietly luxurious compositions that honor place without resorting to cliché. This has made SMHD a go-to partner for clients seeking spaces that both belong to their environment and perform to international expectations for functionality, sustainability, and experience quality. That duality is visible across projects: a conference center that hosts civic gatherings with ceremony and warmth, a rooftop lounge that frames the horizon with sculpted seating and sensorial lighting, a jewelry boutique that transforms light into narrative as it speaks to craft and precision. The work demonstrates fluency in identity-driven design that is emotionally resonant, operationally robust, and aesthetically enduring. Project Highlights: From Hospitality Icons to Retail Jewels The Ritz Carlton Hotel & Residences, Amman: A landmark project where SMHD supervised the interior design to completion, meticulously staging every space with precision and artistry. The branded apartments were delivered as turnkey designs, embodying luxury at its highest level. Widely regarded as one of the finest Ritz Carlton destinations in the Middle East, the project set a new benchmark for hospitality and residential excellence. Regis The Residences Amman and St. Regis Sales Gallery: Elevated residential and sales environments that articulate sophistication through proportion, material honesty, and hospitality-grade detailing, reinforcing the brand’s international pedigree while grounding it in local sensibility. Chopard and Tufenkjian Jewelry: Retail environments that use light not as utility but as narrative, shaping circulation, focus, and intimacy to celebrate craftsmanship and rarity without cluttering or competing with the product. LeNotre Restaurant and Dunia Rooftop Restaurant: Culinary spaces that honor provenance and palette while delivering operational flow and acoustic balance, translating brand and cuisine into spatial storylines guests can feel. Soleil Restaurant: Recognized for luxury commercial interior design, Soleil brought the ethos of an artisanal glasshouse to life, where indoor and outdoor experiences merge and materiality underscores a fresh, farm-to-table sensibility. Saraya Conference Center and cinematic concepts: Large-format civic and entertainment environments that required rigorous coordination, technical exactness, and user-centric functionality without sacrificing grace. Alraya Palace: A project of cultural and civic significance, recognized with the Centennial Arab Revolt Medal — an honor that underscores both design excellence and historical stewardship. People, Process, and Precision She drew on a recent project to explain SMHD’s leadership model, which balances authorship with collaboration, inviting

Diana Richardson

Diana Richardson

Diana Richardson 10x Founder | Multiple Award-Winning Global Entrepreneur | Chief Philanthropy Officer for Mahila Udyami -The Glowgetter Mentor  Dr. Diana Richardson: The Glowgetter Mentor Setting a New Standard for Entrepreneurial Excellence In the world of modern entrepreneurship, the most compelling leaders are those who marry relentless ambition with service, lifelong learning with practical execution, and innovation with integrity. Dr. Diana Richardson stands at the crossroads of all three. A 10x founder, multiple award-winning global entrepreneurs, and Chief Philanthropy Officer for Mahila Udyami, she has built a body of work that is as substantive as it is inspiring. Through The Glowgetter Mentor and Signature D Ltd, her journey encompasses advanced aesthetics, business mentorship, strategic innovation, and philanthropy, spanning multiple sectors and borders to empower entrepreneurs, executives, and communities. This is a story of sustained evolution. It begins with a young professional who relocated to the United Kingdom in 2003 to earn qualifications in beauty therapy. It advances through years of progress into international advanced aesthetics and business building, with awards and recognition punctuating her ascent. Most strikingly, it culminates in a distinctive leadership ethos that blends education, regulatory stewardship, and high-level mentoring. The result is an entrepreneurial career defined by impact, inclusion, and intentional growth. A Career Forged Through Education and Enterprise Early in the conversation, Dr. Richardson reflected on the central belief guiding her journey: the key to success is to keep educating yourself. Her early training in beauty therapy was never a terminal credential. It became a launching pad for ongoing professional development, culminating in academic and executive education that has shaped her strategic approach. She earned a first at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School in the Strategic Innovation Program, studied at Harvard Business School, and completed Harvard Medical School’s Lifestyle Medicine Coaching course with distinction. She has also been nominated for an honorary doctorate at Azteca University for her commitment to entrepreneurial endeavours. These milestones are not decorative. They illustrate a consistent philosophy that privileges study, practice, and refinement. Education, in her framing, is not merely formal or institutional. It is a mindset that requires curiosity, discipline, and humility. By actively seeking advanced learning in business strategy and health-focused coaching, she has equipped herself to operate at the intersection of leadership, wellness, and enterprise growth. That perspective now permeates her work as a mentor and advisor through The Glowgetter Mentor, where she provides strategy sessions, community programs, a podcast, a blog, best-selling books, and structured further education to help founders and executives build durable, resilient businesses. Signature D Ltd When we sat down with Dr. Richardson, the discussion began with Signature D Ltd, the company she led before becoming globally recognized as The Glowgetter Mentor. At its inception, Signature D Ltd focused on helping students turn ambition into enterprise and supporting intrapreneurs to transition into solopreneurs. This early work placed her close to the raw reality of business creation. She was not building in theory but guiding people through their first real decisions about risk, positioning, and structure. Over time, that mentorship model scaled. During the global pandemic, Dr. Richardson expanded her work to include spas, salons, and beauty entrepreneurs who faced existential challenges. She provided guidance not only on how to survive a once-in-a-century disruption but how to recalibrate business models. Her focus was pragmatic and immediate: keep businesses open, keep teams safe, and keep clients engaged. This period sharpened her operational judgment and provided a crucible for leadership under pressure. Her involvement went further than advisory support. Dr. Richardson was asked to help the government write regulations for the beauty and aesthetics industry during the pandemic. In collaboration with medical personnel, she helped define standards and protocols that would allow businesses to operate with safety and confidence. This regulatory stewardship gave her niche expertise in what it means to run a Covid-secure business and showcased her ability to translate high-level health guidance into workable operational frameworks. It also affirmed her credibility as an industry voice trusted at the policy level. Leading Through Crisis and Change Throughout our conversation, it became clear that Dr. Richardson views entrepreneurship not as a glamorous pursuit but as a test of resilience. Injury tested her strength. Team management challenged her instincts. Customer service scenarios refined her systems and communication. Technological advancements forced adoption and reinvention. These experiences did not deter her. They became catalysts for growth. Her framing of obstacles is instructive. Each one presents an opportunity to grow, develop, and learn. In practice, this means designing feedback loops, adopting the right tools, and staying adaptable. It also means refusing complacency. The Glowgetter Mentor operates with the recognition that business is dynamic. Skill sets must evolve. Processes must be updated. Leaders must stay flexible. Under her guidance, entrepreneurs are trained to interpret friction as a signal, not a verdict. From Founder to Force Multiplier As she articulated, the evolution from founder to force multiplier is one of the most significant transitions in any entrepreneurial career. Dr. Richardson made this move by transforming her operational expertise into a replicable mentoring model. She did not limit her influence to the boundaries of a single company. Instead, she built platforms that amplify others. Through The Glowgetter Mentor, she convenes a community of entrepreneurs and executives who learn from her experience and from one another. Her strategy sessions are practical and focused on business fundamentals. Her educational content spans innovation, execution, leadership, and wellness. Her communications platforms, podcast, blog, and books ensure that insights are accessible, evergreen, and actionable. The result is a multilayered ecosystem that supports founders at every stage of the journey. Operating Principles That Scale Dr. Richardson’s approach to leadership can be distilled into a set of operating principles that scale across industries and business sizes: Keep learning by designOngoing education is a strategic imperative, not a luxury. Whether through formal programs or targeted courses, the ability to assimilate new frameworks and apply them quickly is a competitive advantage. Build systems that survive stress Resilient businesses are not lucky. They are

They serve as vital connectors between capital and commerce,  equipping businesses with the financial tools and expertise necessary to achieve sustainable success. With over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, restructuring, and international transactions, Paul Scribner exemplifies this ethos. Early in his career, he navigated complex turnaround situations where integrity and precision were non-negotiable. Progressing to senior finance and executive leadership, he led significant asset sales, capital raises, and global M&A  deals. As CEO of Raven Resources Corp., Scribner applies his proprietary “Raven Method” to deliver fast, transparent, and impactful results for clients worldwide.  Forged in High-Stakes Finance: Scribner’s Principled Approach to Global Deal-Making  Scribner’s early professional foundation was shaped in the intense environments of asset-based lending and corporate workouts. Tasked with rapidly assessing collateral and negotiating with diverse stakeholders under pressure, he developed a methodology grounded in speed, accuracy,  and integrity. Managing complex liquidations across Europe and Asia further sharpened his skills, as he coordinated multi-jurisdictional teams to navigate legal, financial, and operational complexities.  These formative experiences cemented Scribner’s belief that ethical clarity and swift decision making can coexist. His leadership style blends analytical rigor with empathy, enabling strategic clarity amidst divergent interests—an approach that underpins the Raven Method and guides  Raven Resources’ corporate culture.  Strategic Growth Through Acquisitions and Partnerships Under Scribner’s leadership, Raven Resources has executed a series of transformative transactions aligned with its vision of driving value in the mid-market. In November 2024, Raven formed a strategic equity partnership with General Holdings Limited, unlocking joint investment opportunities in infrastructure, industrial services, and real estate across the  Gulf and MENA regions. By day three, a fully articulated execution roadmap, complete with timelines and KPIs, is delivered.  This framework mitigates analysis paralysis and ensures decisive, well-informed action—a critical advantage in the fast-moving mid-market. The Raven Method seamlessly integrates operational insights with financial modeling, enabling Raven to deploy capital with both precision and foresight.  Leadership Beyond Business: Philanthropy, Art, and Mentorship Scribner’s leadership vision extends beyond the boardroom. Together with his wife, he founded a  Dallas-based foundation that has contributed over ten million dollars to transformative initiatives in education, healthcare, and community development. For Scribner, philanthropy is not an ancillary activity but a core tenet of responsible leadership.  His passion for art collecting informs his leadership philosophy—both disciplines require discernment, patience, and an appreciation for nuance. Scribner is also deeply invested in mentorship, fostering connections between emerging professionals and seasoned executives to drive long-term career development and knowledge transfer. Through strategic collaborations with nonprofits and educational institutions, he advances scalable community investment models that reflect his core values of empathy, integrity, and empowerment.  Words of Wisdom: Principles for Enduring Leadership Scribner advises leaders to cultivate a circle of trusted advisors who challenge assumptions and help illuminate blind spots. He champions swift, decisive action when the evidence is clear,  recognizing time as a leader’s most precious resource. A Journey Rooted in Purpose Christine’s career didn’t begin with a straight path but rather with a deep desire to make a difference in people’s lives. She entered the corporate world and worked her way up to senior leadership roles, managing multi-million-dollar territories for major organizations. A significant turning point came when she was accepted into the Georgia State Robinson Executive MBA program without having a traditional undergraduate degree, an achievement that highlighted her capability, experience, and drive. It was during her corporate career that Christine began to understand that true leadership goes beyond strategy and execution. For her, it became clear that effective leadership is about helping people recognize their own potential and live in alignment with their values. This insight led to the founding of Create Your Best Life (CYBL) – a company focused on empowering leaders, especially women, to find clarity, purpose, and balance in their lives. Over time, Christine has partnered with Fortune 500 companies, government bodies, and nonprofit organizations to provide leadership training, keynote speeches, and one-on-one executive coaching.
