1. Kindly brief us about the outset of your career.

The outset of my professional journey began with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where I served as an Analyst from October 2013 to March 2016. This role was instrumental in building a strong foundation in Quality Analysis, data analytics, business intelligence, and process automation. At TCS, I had the privilege of working with global companies such as Allianz Life and Shoppers Drug Mart, contributing to high-impact projects that enhanced my analytical thinking, technical expertise, and collaborative skills. The diverse range of assignments I handled at TCS helped me develop a deep understanding of data-driven problem-solving and prepared me to take on more complex roles in the future.

Eager to gain a holistic understanding of business operations, I transitioned to working with start-ups, where I could be involved in the end-to-end processes of an IT Product. One of the most notable experiences was at Netomi, where I was exposed to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. I played a key role in developing high-accuracy chatbot solutions for various Fortune 500 clients. Additionally, I gained hands-on experience in sentiment analysis using machine learning algorithms and NLP techniques, which further solidified my expertise in AI-driven solutions. During my time at Netomi, I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and client stakeholders, to ensure the successful delivery of innovative solutions. This exposure gave me a comprehensive understanding of startup dynamics and sharpened my ability to adapt to rapidly changing business needs.

In pursuit of further technical and managerial growth, I earned a Master’s degree in Business Analytics and Project Management (BAPM) from the University of Connecticut School of Business, graduating with a GPA of 3.8/4.0. This program deepened my knowledge in predictive modelling, digital analytics, and project risk management, enhancing my ability to lead and execute data-driven projects. The rigorous curriculum, combined with practical assignments, equipped me with advanced analytical and leadership skills that I continue to leverage in my professional roles.

After graduating, I joined Cisco in early 2021 as a Business Data Analyst, where my primary objective was to gather and analyse data from multiple sources while delivering actionable insights through Tableau and Power BI. A significant contribution during my tenure was the development of an ETL process using SQL and SSIS to manage telemetry data, which drastically reduced analysis time and improved operational efficiency. I also created Tableau dashboards for product management teams, offering a comprehensive view of security product adoption. This role helped me further refine my expertise in data visualization, ETL processes, stakeholder collaboration, and business communication. Additionally, I took the initiative to automate several reporting workflows, which saved considerable time and enhanced the accuracy of deliverables.

Following my tenure at Cisco, I was fortunate to join my dream company, Amazon, where I currently serve as a Business Intelligence Engineer II in the Last Mile Delivery space. My role at Amazon has provided me with the opportunity to work on high-impact projects at a global scale, directly influencing global operational performance and end customers. The fast-paced environment at Amazon has allowed me to sharpen my ability to manage large datasets, develop scalable solutions, and deliver actionable insights that drive business outcomes.

At Amazon, I spearheaded the implementation of Service Level Standards (SLS) for delivery partners globally, which has significantly improved supply chain operations and reduced delivery costs. Additionally, I played a key role in developing fraud detection and mitigation systems that utilize advanced SQL queries and AWS technologies.

I also led the design and deployment of an end-to-end ETL pipeline using AWS Glue and Lambda to monitor delivery partner performance and key service metrics. This initiative improved customer satisfaction significantly and optimized service quality by ensuring consistent monitoring and enforcement of performance standards.

I also worked in the payments marketing analytics role where I collaborated with the global payments team to drive significant cost-saving initiatives. By leveraging advanced data analytics, I identified high-cost payment channels across different regions and partnered with global payment providers to negotiate more favourable rates. I worked closely with cross-functional teams to implement efficient payment routing strategies, ensuring lower processing costs without compromising transaction success rates.

Additionally, I analysed global customer payment behaviour and developed targeted campaigns that encouraged the adoption of cost-effective payment methods. My insights directly contributed to reducing transaction fees and optimizing payment acceptance rates. I also played a critical role in enhancing fraud detection mechanisms across multiple markets, minimizing the financial impact of chargebacks and fraud.

Moreover, I actively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Directors, Data Scientists, Program Managers, and Operations Leaders, to provide real-time analytics solutions and drive strategic decision-making. My role extends beyond technical contributions, as I consistently engage with senior leadership to present data-driven insights that influence key business decisions and enhance last-mile delivery operations. I also mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.

Currently, to further enhance my managerial capabilities and advance my professional career, I am pursuing an Executive MBA, with a focus on strategic leadership, financial management, and operations. This program is equipping me with advanced business acumen and decision-making skills, which are directly relevant to my role in driving large-scale initiatives and collaborating with senior leadership at Amazon. The blend of theoretical knowledge and practical case studies has broadened my perspective on handling complex business challenges and leading cross-functional teams effectively.

Alongside my professional journey, I am also actively dedicated to social work. As part of my involvement with My Home India, I have successfully assisted numerous students and professionals in navigating challenges related to finding colleges, accommodations, jobs, and handling visa issues. One notable success story involved helping a group of international students secure housing and internships, which not only eased their transition but also provided them with a supportive community. Through this initiative, I strive to create a meaningful impact by offering guidance during critical phases of people’s lives. I am closely involved with My Home India, an NGO that helps students and professionals overcome challenges related to finding colleges, accommodations, jobs, and navigating visa issues. Through this initiative, I strive to give back to society by supporting individuals during crucial phases of their lives. I also collaborate with other volunteers to conduct workshops on career counselling and soft skills, further extending the organization’s reach.

Overall, my career spanning renowned organizations, combined with a strong academic background, a commitment to continuous learning, and active social contributions has equipped me with a robust skill set in data science, business intelligence, and AI-driven solutions, enabling me to consistently deliver high-impact results while contributing positively to society. I look forward to further leveraging my skills and experiences to take on greater responsibilities, drive innovation, and make a lasting impact in both my professional and personal endeavours.

2. As a successful leader, which three personal qualities do you believe contributed most to your success?

Throughout my career, I have thrived by working with great teams, solving problems, and learning constantly. My success comes down to three key qualities: Thinking Big, focusing on goals, and networking.

3. What are the aims and ideals that guide you as an individual and a professional?

I am guided by core values such as integrity, trust, perseverance, and transparency. I believe that trust and transparency form the foundation of strong relationships whether in personal life, professional collaborations, or leadership. These values drive me to foster open communication, build meaningful connections, and ensure accountability in everything I do.

As a professional, I strive to stay updated with emerging technologies and use them to drive innovation, particularly in digital transformation and supply chain optimization. My focus is on delivering solutions that not only create value but also instill confidence among stakeholders by being transparent about processes and outcomes.

Beyond my professional work, I am driven by a broader purpose of uplifting others and improving their quality of life. Whether it’s through mentoring, sharing knowledge, or contributing to meaningful projects, I aim to use my skills to make a positive impact on society. In the future, I aspire to start my own venture that combines innovation with purpose, guided by my ideals of trust, transparency, and continuous learning.

5. What have been the toughest obstacles you’ve faced in your career?

One of the toughest obstacles I’ve faced in my career has been driving digital transformation in the supply chain, particularly in the era of AI. Supply chain operations are inherently complex, involving multiple stakeholders, processes, and legacy systems that often resist change. Implementing AI-driven solutions requires more than just deploying advanced technology as it involves fostering a pivotal shift, gaining stakeholder trust, and ensuring a smooth transition from manual processes to AI-powered automation.

A key challenge was ensuring real-time data visibility and accuracy across the entire supply chain network. AI models depend heavily on high-quality data, yet in supply chains, data often comes from fragmented sources with varying formats. To overcome this, I leveraged AWS services, including Amazon Quick Sight (Q), to integrate and visualize real-time reports. This solution allowed stakeholders to access up-to-the-minute updates on supply chain performance, enhancing their ability to make timely, data-driven decisions. By automating reporting and integrating real-time analytics, we significantly improved operational transparency and responsiveness.

6. Mention some of the notable recognitions and accreditations received by your organization and yourself.

I have always been driven by a passion to contribute meaningfully to society through my work. One of the key highlights of my career is my early contribution to the Indian Digital Ecosystem, which earned recognition and was recommended to the Prime Minister of India. Additionally, I was honoured as a Global Tech Hero by The Connected Awards for my efforts in advancing digital technology in the USA, reflecting the significant impact of my work in data innovation. Throughout my career, I have consistently received various accolades and team awards for my contributions.

Furthermore, I am a Senior IEEE member, underscoring my active involvement and contributions to the global research and technology community.

7. Do you have a mantra that you live by?

I live by the mantra of learn, unlearn, and relearn, which constantly drives my personal and professional growth. To stay balanced and focused, I prioritize healthy eating and consistent effort, believing that harmony between the mind, body, and soul is key to long-term success and fulfilment. This approach not only helps me adapt to an ever-evolving world but also keeps me grounded, energized, and prepared for new challenges.

8. Who in your life inspires you the most?

The person who inspires me the most is Ratan Tata. I am fortunate to have started my career with the Tata Group, which allowed me to witness first-hand how values such as Integrity and Excellence are deeply embedded in the organization. Ratan Tata’s down-to-earth nature and humility, despite his immense success, inspire me to dream big while staying grounded. What stands out most is his dedication to serving society and creating a positive impact. I am particularly inspired by his belief, ‘If you want to walk fast, walk alone. But if you want to walk far, walk together,’ which has taught me the importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving long-term success. His example motivates me to strive for both personal excellence and social contribution in my career.

9. What would be your future endeavours, and where do you see yourself in the near future?

My future endeavours revolve around continuous learning, staying abreast of emerging technologies, and using my knowledge to make a positive social impact by helping people rise above poverty and lead better lives. In the near future, I also aspire to start my own venture, combining innovation and purpose to create value for society.

10. Your journey has been inspiring, and it sets a great example for aspiring leaders. What advice do you have for them?

Thank you for your kind words. If there’s one piece of advice, I would offer to aspiring leaders, it’s to always dream big and think big—your vision shapes your path. Along the way, stay focused on your goals and never lose sight of what truly matters, no matter the obstacles you face. Remember, success is not just about individual achievement but also about uplifting others and contributing to a larger purpose.

Additionally, cultivate a strong network; I believe, networking is net worth. Surround yourself with people who inspire, challenge, and support you. And most importantly, embrace a mindset of learn, unlearn, and relearn—in today’s ever-changing world, adaptability is the key to sustained success. Consistency in your efforts, along with a healthy lifestyle, will help you stay energized and maintain harmony between mind, body, and soul.

Never give up, and always maintain a positive outlook on life. There will be ups and downs, but with a positive mindset, you can overcome any challenge. Resilience and optimism will not only help you navigate difficult times but also empower you to grow stronger through them.
